In addition, this thermoplastic material has excellent shear properties, a non-stick surface and best insulating properties. However, compared to other plastics, it is in contrast with low mechanical strength and a high specific gravity. PTFE can be used as a compound reinforced with additives such as glass fiber, carbon or bronze to improve mechanical properties. Due to its structure, this material is formed into semi-finished products by a compression process and then processed with cutting / machining tools.

Properties

High Chemical Resistance

High Heat Resistance (-200 – + 260 ° C, temporarily up to 300 ° C)

Low Friction Coefficient

Low Surface Tension

High Thermal Expansion Coefficient

Relatively Low Strength / Hardness

Low Dielectic Constant

Nonflammable

Electrical Properties

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) – TECAFLON PTFE is a natural – semi-crystalline fluoropolymer with an unusually high chemical and thermal resistance (-200 – + 260 ° C, temporarily 300 ° C).

[216

0":"post-9577","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-polymers-and-plastics","8":"first","9":"instock","10":"shipping-taxable","11":"product-type-simple
["GET
